Superior Subscriptions also ripped me off
In November 2007, I bought a 4 year subscription to Weight Watchers magazine and waited and waited. I finally contacted both ebay and paypal and neither would help me because I had waited past the 90 day period. The auction said I needed to wait 12 weeks (90 days) before the magazine would arrive. When I contacted Superior Subscriptions, I was told that sometimes it takes up to 16 weeks, but I was assured the magazine was coming. I am still waiting and it has been almost a year. Why doesn't ebay and paypal extend their policy to six months? Barbara kennedy

I ordered a magazine subscription from Ebay and I never received it. No response from a number of emails. It was only $6. I guess i have to be more careful in the future. Ripped off by Superior Subscriptions
I bought 2 subscriptions off of Ebay from Superior Subsciptions. I paid immediately, I received emails with in a few days saying my order was submitted. Then Ebay quit having magazines subscriptions for sale on Ebay. I emailed Superior Subscriptions several time and was told don't worry, you'll still receive your subscription. I have waited long enough. My subscritions were not renewed. They have ignored all my emails and my request for my money back through Paypal. I am pissed! I work hard for my money and don't appreciate them taking it and ignoring me. I want either my subscription or my money now!!

Took my money and no subscription!
I bought a subscription on Ebay from Superior Subscriptions. I waited the 9 to 12 weeks they said it would take for my subscription to start, but now it has been 15 weeks and nothing. They took my money, or should I say stole my money. I paid for this through Paypal. I filed a complaint with them but they wouldn't do anything. This *** me off. Ebay and Paypal should make them hold up their end of the deal or give me my money back. I am pissed at Ebay and Paypal also about. They need to check out their sellers better!

Grrr!
I ordered and paid for about five subscriptions for myself and friends/family, and none of us have received the subscriptions I purchased. EBay and PayPal have been no help whatsoever as well. : ( I believe I paid with my debit/credit card so I guess calling and filing for a chargeback is my only other option. A few of these subscriptions were gifts, so it especially ticks me off that this happened! I've purchased subscriptions from EBay in the past and have always received what I paid for. It would be nice if the subscriptions showed up one of these days, but seeing as how it's been several months now, I don't think they are going to arrive. : /

Superior Subscriptions failed again
Superior Subscriptions took my $$ and order for subscription and never delivered. I had previously ordered and received a subscription form them, so I waited the time they suggested for this magazine order to be delivered and then it was too late for Ebay or Paypal to recover the $$. I think Ebay and Paypal should stand behind us when the Seller was obviously fraudulant to many, many, customers. Any suggestions on how to follow up on this fraud? Does anyone have an idea of what to do to recover our lost money?? or is it live and learn! Judy, Omaha, NE

Don't trust superior subscriptions
I had bad luck with superior subscriptions, too. I ordered a subscription to National Geographic Adventure Magazine via eBay more than three months ago and the company never delivered. when you go to their web site they advise you to wait three months for your magazines to start arriving. by that time you no have recourse with either eBay or PayPal. What's more, the company is no longer an eBay member. Don't trust this company. It is a crooked operation. buy your magazine subscriptions through the normal channels to avoid being ripped off. Superior Subscriptions is less than inferior.

Paid for Economist and US news. Never received, no email answers
Rip offs. I paid twice for US news and World Report and once for Economist for 3 years. I have never received a single copy of any of these magazines. Superior Subscription has replied to no emails. They apparantly cannot be reached. Their website is down and I don't expect will ever go back up, becuase they have taken our money and ran. I believe this is the main reason why ebay stopped with magazine subs. Does anybody have an address where they are that someone can send the authorities or pay them a visit ? Or have their names so that these can be posted and maybe they can be tracked.

Ebay is to blame
I lost a multi year subscription to Consumers Reports due to Ebay's "change" in policy. I even called Ebay to complain, and of course, they said there was nothing they could do. I think there is nothing they they WANTED to do. I even filed a claim with PayPal and it was immediately dismissed because magazines are "no longer allowed" and because it was beyond the 45 day window to file a complaint. However, I've ordered magazines before and it ALWAYS takes at least 6 weeks. Not only does it take at least 6 weeks...the seller tells you that up front. How can I file a claim before I am to receive the item? Ebay is totally at fault. Superior Subscriptions was filling the subscriptions until Ebay disallowed it. If they can't sell on Ebay any longer, why fill the subscriptions? Who cares if their rating goes to ***? The whole theory behind Ebay is to have a good rating by the feedback left by other customers. Since it didn't matter any more, they took the money and ran.

Unhappy Consumer Reports!
I have bought magazines though eBay from Superior Subscriptions. The only problem I have had was getting my Consumer Reports Magazine. I got my other magazines that I ordered just not this one. I had the same thing happen to me with the same magazine from a different company on eBay. I wish that Superior Subscriptions would refund the money of issues not receieved. Reply to emails and just do the right thing. I think it is wrong that emails are not replied too, I got the automated emails and that was all. I've tried calling but only get a full mailbox.

Superior Subscriptions Has Failed to Deliver!
I am so mad. I ordered a magazine subscription to House Beautiful on ebay from Superior Subscriptions. They had good feedback so I used them and things worked great. However, then this last order went south. I have tried calling Superior Subscriptions (voicebox always full) and e-mailing them (no reply) to settle my subscription claim. I had bought plenty in the past and they were great. Then after e-bay shut them down my subscription has not started. I am so dissappointed. I was going to even use them on their website after ebay. I was glad to find this out before ordering more. If anyone knows of anything I can do I'd like to know.

Superior Subscriptions Cheated Me!
I ordered a yr. subscription to Consumer Reports Magazine for Christmas. It never came. I called Superior Subscriptions and they said sorry, they would refund me per a check. I waited and waited. Never came. Tried to contact them again. Can't get them by phone or email. Paypal has done nothing to help.Did not even contact me to say they won't help. I saw on my PayPal website that the case was closed because of filing too late. Well you do have to wait 3-4 nonths for a subscription to start. So I am not the only one that has been duped. I just hate that these *** are getting away with this and noone can stop them.

Well at least I am not alone!
Sucks, bought in January 08, sent numerous emails with no response and of course no magazine. Worst things is the subscription was a gift and now I look like a loser. I hope this company is no longer in business or if they are, we could put them out of business. I am so glad I found this forum. Okay this is weird, never posted here before, but it says I need a minimum of 100 words so now I am just typing nonsense to fulfill the requirements. Sorry, not sure what else I can do. 100 words...right about now.

Superior Subscriptions Rip Off
I bought a subscription from them off Ebay on December 24, 2007 and they have yet to fulfill my order. I emailed them to no avail. The funny thing is that I received an email from them on December 25th claiming that they had processed my order, but this order is not showing up in my magazine subscription account as of yet. I have paid for this and if they don't give me what I paid for, it is considered fraud and I will let as many people know about this as I can. I will also file many complaints online and let agencies know about it. Ebay does not seem to want to help with this and I find that appalling. It's like they support fraud.

Superior Subscriptions Took my Money But Never Processed My Magazine Subscription
I paid for a year of People Magazine on December 23rd, 2007 at the cost of $49.95 to Superior Subscriptions when Mr. Raagas was a seller on Ebay. It is May now, and my magazine never came. I contacted People Magazine, and it says that Mr. Raagas has never submitted an order under my name. I've emailed his yahoo email address repeatedly and tried to call him repeatedly. Yet I've heard nothing from him. I've filed a compliant against him with ic3.gov (FBI's cyber crime unit). Other victims of his should also file similar complaints.

I am getting a refund from Superior Subscriptions
I contacted Superior Subscriptions at 619-315-**** and left a message. Didn't think I would ever hear back from them. About 3 hours later I get a call from the company and they explained that they could not refund my money through Paypal as ebay shut them down. He verified my mailing address and stated that a check in the full amount will be sent today from California. I should get it early next week. The person on the phone stated the new policy ebay is enforcing is killing all the magazine sellers. Apparently ebay wants all seller to have the product in the consumers hands no later than 30 days. This is impossible for magazine sellers. If you do what I have make sure you have your item number and ebay user name.

ugh. same exact thing happened to me.
just read through these responses and in the same boat. i had thought they were legit as i ordered us weekly from them last yr and got it. put in an order for entertainment weekly in march and have gotten nothing. pay pal and ebay not a help.
someone has GOT to go after them!!!! never using ebay or pay pal again.
Looks like a whole bunch of ppl got ripped off. Mine was a 5 yr sub.

I blame ebay partially for this.
They were filling subscriptions until ebay pulled the plug. I think ebay should have made them issue refunds first.
I bought two subscriptions from them. One I have received , the other has yet to arrive.
I bought them off of ebay over 4 months. I filed a claim with Pay Pal.
I ordered a whopping SEVEN 3-year subscriptions to magazines from these *** bags! I too saw their wonderful feedback and was suckered in to their great low prices.
I wasted almost $90.00 and I am SO ANGRY!
I call almost everyday....e-mail them about once every two days...no dial tone, just a "full" mailbox. I really don't know what to do....I am about to drive down there and give them a piece of my mind.

Same story as you guys, got the "ebay is disallowing sales of mags, don't worry!" email, and never heard a blip from them again. I'm complaining to PayPal, and I suggest all of you do too, so they can open up a claim with "superior" subscriptions.

I was also ripped off. I bought two subscriptions in early March and it is now June 7, and the magazines have reported that my subscriptions were never received.
I tried to contact them via email about a month ago, as I was worried this would happen, but did not receive a reply. I tried to open a PayPal claim today for both subscriptions, but was told that the 45-day time period to receive reimbursement had passed.
I don't know how others can just take the money of good, hard-working people and not feel guilty. What is our society coming to?
I'd previously purchased from Superior Subscriptions, but they failed to come through on the last two I purchased. I've tried to recover my money from PayPal, but of course I'm beyond their 45-day window.
An agent did add, however:
"I am very sorry that you had so many problems with your seller and was
unable to file a claim within 45 days. Although we do not have the
ability to make an exception and reopen the case currently; PayPal does reserve the right to reopen any claim for investigation within 180 days if multiple complaints are received about a single seller. We will notify you if this is the case."
If we all write to PayPal and complain, maybe we'll get somewhere?
